Gopichand Fiancee's dad V Ramababu suicide due to cancelled wedding

Industrialist V. Rambabu, 58, whose daughter was to be married to film star Gopichand next week, committed suicide by consuming poison at his residence in Malakpet, on Sunday. He was reportedly depressed because the marriage had been cancelled.

Gopichand suppose to marry V.Rambabu’s daughter next week, which was cancelled recently.

Rambabu’s daughter Harita holds a management degree from Australian university. It is known that both Gopichand and Haritha (an MBA student in Australia) got engaged on 26th of January. They are suppose to marry on 24th this month. Wedding invitations had already been depatched for the much anticipated star studded event

Mr Rambabu owns the complex that houses the popular Sahadeva Reddy Sweets in Dilsukhnagar; he had various other businesses too. Sources said he was brought to Yashoda hospital at Malakpet at around 7.30 pm, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

It was an arranged marriage, but suddenly, the two families cancelled the engagement a few days ago, for unknown reasons. At the time of announcing his engagement, Gopichand had said he would begin shooting for his next film, Bhoopati Pandian, at the end of March, after his marriage and a month’s break. Gopichand is son of revolutionary film maker T. Krishna.

He was a news reader for E TV before he was cast as a hero in his first movie Tholi Valapu, which was a disaster at box office. His next movie Jayam gave him success at box office, but this time as a villain. However, his first successful film as a hero was Yagnam, and he was touted as a future hero of the masses. His latest release was Wanted, with Deeksha Seth.
